How to run a query

Use the research front door to ask a question, choose a budget, and watch the payment trace.

Open research

Normal flow

  • Open the research page.
  • Enter a question that the registered corpus can plausibly answer.
  • Set a budget in USDC atoms. One USDC is 1,000,000 atoms.
  • Run the query and watch discovery, pay/skip, tolls, synthesis, attribution, and royalties.
  • Open the receipt when the run completes.

Funding modes

Sponsored mode uses the central Obolus Arc Testnet buyer wallet. This keeps the public demo low-friction and is protected by rate limits and spend caps.

Test wallet mode is for reviewers who want their own disposable Arc Testnet wallet to pay. It is still testnet only and is not production custody.

When no answer appears

If the pay/skip step finds only off-topic assets, the app will not pay and will not invent a grounded answer. That is expected. Add or ingest assets for the topic, then run the query again.
